Very nice shot. It would be even better with a tight crop.
So I tried it and I have to agree. Initially I liked the first shot because of the fuzzy llama in the background, but really the tighter crop is better. I appreciate comments that help me learn! So feel free to make constructive suggestions or comments. I want to improve as a photographer.

A tighter crop

I like them both Loran--but I think I like the 2nd one better.... We all are learning... I know I am 'trying' to be a good photographer... I certainly do look at things differently than I used to.

Nice job. Sometimes I have a hard time cropping an image, but then it turns out very good.
Super shot! Even the photograph in your blog header is fantastic!
Pixellicious Photos
A great shot especially with the tighter crop. I love the colour and the light.
I like them both.
Dad always said, Watch your background. I love both.
I have SO much to learn.
I like them both.. I bought a photography book two weeks ago and haven't opend it yet so maybe I shouldn't comment LOL..
My favorite is the second one that you have croped.
Beutiful picture !
The first version is very good, but the second is super. You are definitely learning.
The translucence of the leaf and the veins pop out more in the second. I find macros hard.
Looks wonderful in the tighter crop. Well done!
I agree - any comments that can make me grow as a photographer are welcome! I DO like the tighter crop.
