Bridal Veil Falls

I wonder why Bridal Veil is such a popular name for waterfalls.  This one is located in Provo Canyon.  I drive to Provo once a month for work but this time I stopped and took some pictures.  It was so hot I stood in the shade of the trees.

This is a double cataract waterfall that is 607' tall (185m) and home to black swift birds.

That's a piece of My World in Utah.

Oh---what a gorgeous area to go for work once a month or so, Loran... I would check out that beautiful waterfall every time I went. Bridal Veil is a common name for waterfalls, kinda like Laurel Falls....

But--your Bridal Veil is incredible... I love seeing both of the cataracts.... Wow!!!!

Thanks!!
Hugs,
Betsy

There is something pure and mesmerizing about waterfalls - I love their sound and movement. This particular Bridal Veil is spectacular - is it right along the road? I went through Provo last fall and don't remember seeing it.

Thanks for sharing this beautiful waterfall with us. I would love to see this waterfall in person.

It is a popular name for falls and this looks more like a bridal veil than most. That looks like a lovely drive, at least that part of it.
Our Alaska trip was much shorter than yours and not as extensive. It would have been nice to spend more time but the budget woundn't allow.

I've seen the name a lot. It just seems to go a waterfall, like everybody has a Fish Creek or a Fish Lake or a Big Park, etc. People just don't seem to get very imaginative with names.
I do love Provo's Bridal Veil Falls, though. I've hiked around there several times.

I didn't know there was a Bridal Veil Falls there, too! Sometimes when people look at my Bridal Veil photos they think I'm at Yosemite, although there obviously isn't a house at the top of the falls in Yosemite!

Beautiful photos!
