Almost every day that I drive by this old outbuilding I wonder how much longer it will remain standing. As much wind as there was when I took this picture, I'm surprised it wasn't blown over already.
I wonder what made it lean that way? Is it pointing in the direction of the prevailing wind? Or was it something structural (a fallen timber)? Or geologic instability of the foundation? Or even more likely, probably the kids!!! (They get blamed for everything).
Fascinating how the world seems to be standing so still against this dramatically-leaning building and the tension of the nearby diagonally-slanting wood.
This belongs to some friends of mine down the road who raise cattle. It's been leaning for a long time and hasn't gone down yet. It's leaning north/south and the prevailing wind is from the west, maybe that's why it's still up.
I've seen some buildings still standing at surprising angles, but that one really looks like it's about to go. You'll have to document when it crashes.

Yow!!! I wouldn't want to go inside that barn... Do they still "USE" it??? Goodness---it surely is leaning!!!
Keep taking pictures and let's see how much it continues to lean!!!
Have a great evening.
Hugs,
Betsy
I can't believe it was still standing, either! It looks like a whisper would knock it over!
Unique photography, philosophic and nostalgia.
Unique!! The barn is like me: beat up but still standing!
Great sky watch.
Happy Skywatch Friday!
Nice photo
I too am shocked it's still standing. It looks as if it will fall down with any sudden wind! It does make a great photo though.

Who does it belong to?
Ha! That's great. We had a barn like that near us but it did finally colapse with the ice and snow this year. Nice shot.

What a shot and great capture.
I like this shot..it says " hang in there"...
Wow! It doesn't seem like it would take much for it to finally succumb to gravity. Great shot!
Even when we start to lean, that blue sky makes us look good! I'm your "neighbor" in CO.

Woah, that IS quite an angle. I'm rooting for it to last awhile longer. It looks like a trooper. :)
Oh, I love this one!
makes a good picture though =)
