I was pleased on Friday morning that there were clouds in the sky behind the icicles to make this shot a little more interesting.
The wind which comes from the southwest is moving the clouds along.
I took my camera with me when I had to go outside to feed the animals. Here is a view of the icicles from outside the window.
This shot is from the top of our driveway. The second window from the left under the sliding snow is where many of the icicle shots were taken, from the inside looking out. Sunday the snow fell off the roof and the icicles disappeared. Well, actually they are now a pile of ice on the patio.
Christmas is done and the new year has started but winter is still here.

I love your collection of icicle photos. Very artsy! Your neighborhood is looking snowy and cold - much like we're feeling over here.
Happy New Year to you and all the family!
Your icicle shots are really looking cool. I do like the views in the background.
I never get tired of seeing your home and the area around you. GORGEOUS--no matter which season. Love seeing your snow and your icicles. WOW!!!
Hugs,
Betsy
Oh, i like the shots! Quite interesting and take goodness that the blue skies are appearing :)
More beautiful winter scenery. I always worry, though, will the icicle decide to fall just when I walk under it?
As for New Zealand, there is so much to see I would love to go back. Several folks on our trip had been before and were comming back for more.
Nice shots. I like the mountains. Nice winter area!
So cool! We were actually traveling most of the past week and saw many hanging from rocks like where I grwe up. Couldn't stop for pictures, though. I love your close-up with the sky background.
Brrrr, it looks so cold Loran. Love the shot from the outside that shows the icicles shadows and reflection.
I'm sad the icicles have gone as I've been enjoying these photos - a perspective on the world I've never seen before.
I see you're becoming quite an icicle specialist! looking forward to catching up more on your posts, but for now I have to remind myself that I have work tomorrow. Still on holiday time-lag.
Another awesome shots!
Regards.
I'm glad you got these pictures before the snow swept the icicles away.
We have some icicles that are so big they would be scary to be under during a melt!
