Smith Lake, Alabama

In June 2007 we took a trip to visit my best friend from high school and her husband in Alabama.  They have a wonderful lake house where we spent a few days swimming and playing on jet skis.  It was so much fun.  While we were there, we witnessed one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.  I'm glad I captured it then.

Woah, those pictures are absolutely gorgeous! I have to say, I think that tops any sunset I've ever seen. What a beautiful place to have a lake house. That sounds like a good time.

Those picture make me want to take a dip in the water! It's getting warm over here. I would be great with a cold(er) swim right now! :-)

As an Ohioan just happening to think yesterday about a spring vacation in Alabama, your excellent twilight time photos are very inspiring. Will have to do more research about the Smith Lake area. Am not familiar with Alabama but was thinking of heading down to Mobile.

Not only did they find a pretty lake, they found the mother load of all sunsets: that's an overwhelming orange hue like nothing I've ever seen. But aren't sunsets like there ... there ... then gone. Good thing we have cameras to catch the good ones and remember back.
