Click above to see the raindrops glowing in the sun!
Different days, different skies, different moods. My mood tonight is bittersweet. I took my youngest daughter to college and left her there. I am proud of her but I miss her already. And as Forrest Gump would say, "That's all I have to say about that." (If I say any more I'll just start crying again.)
Check out more summer skies at Skywatch Friday.

Great hammock to enjoy those skies.
Sydney - City and Suburbs
Beautiful captures and it is hard to see our kids grow up and move on. The tears are understood! But celebrate both of you this weekend!

I agree with Sylvia! Parting is never easy but easier when you know you get to meet again! Sending you a warm hug from Sweden,
Esther
The hammock looks comfy and the sky is fluffy beautiful.
We raise our children to send them into the world. Missing them is a given, and of course you're allowed to cry. She'll be back. And you'll be even more proud.
Thanks for the hint to click on the picture. That was really cool!
Great shots!
Congratulations to your daughter (and to you)... Console yourself with the thought that no doubt cooking, etc, will suddenly be so much more appreciated when she gets home for the holidays. ;)
The hammock looks sooo inviting. Great photo!! It says it all without words.
It is hard when they first start to fly from the nest. But your daughter is embarking is such a good time in her life. I know, doesn't make it any easier.
"parting is such sweet sorrow"
For me your first picture sets a great "mood". and As I have heard it said "Life is like a box of chocolates"
Love the hammock picture, stunning!!
Well done!
Have a nice SWF
Really enjoyed your post today. Nicely done. In time, you can handle and deal with your child being away from home. It will get better.
Beautiful skies! I too love the hammock...and the two little bird houses on the tree trunk...My youngest daughter is at the University of Dallas (TX) and I'm in Ohio:(
Wonderful pictures of two different skies. I hope both you and your daughter have a good start to the college year.
Oh these life passages are hard, Loran... I remember when all of mine left home and went to school. Then I remember when they got married.
I loved all of those times in my life---but wouldn't go back for a minute and do it all again. When you are sad, just remember that life DOES get better and better.
Great photos.
Hugs,
Betsy
The top one looks so inviting! And the sky in the bottom is so sharp and crisp
Beautiful sky and a nice hammock in great place!
Wonderful images, I would love lying in that hammock. Wishing you a gentle adjustment~
It's that moving on time of year. I'll be going through the same thing in a few weeks when my son goes to university. He's the elder of my two - I can imagine how bittersweet it must be to have the last one leave home.
