As Emerson said, "Live in the sunshine..."

For a few brief hours this morning the sun came out between the clouds to light up the snow and frost.

I managed to haul in some wood before the sun disappeared behind the haze.

The days are getting a little bit longer.  The blackbirds arrived. Tomorrow marks the half-way point between winter solstice and spring equinox.  There's hope for a greener tomorrow!

Visit Harriet to check out Shadow Shot Sunday or Scenic Sunday to see what's happening around the rest of the planet.

Beautiful wintry scenes. Love the shots with the blackbirds on top of the icy trees.

The days are getting longer but Spring always takes a little longer to arrive than what I would like.

The frost hanging in the air is wonderful, and the filigree on the trees amazing. Great snow shots.

Gorgeous captures! Even if we're tired of winter, these are such beautiful shots you can almost forgive the thermometer! Have a great week!

Mid point of winter is a cheery thought. I'm enjoying the longer days and thoughts of spring.
We've seen some blackbirds, too. They must think warmer weather is on its way.

Beautiful pictures!

It is amazing to see the sun come out. It's been so foggy and cloudy this year.

It reminds me to be grateful for it, I take so many things for granted.

Thanks for the imagery.

I really like your wintry scenes under that beautiful blue sky. Spring can't get here soon enough as far as I'm concerned.

It's that time of year when I really get impatient for spring. Glad it is finally almost here!

Do your blackbirds migrate? I'm intrigued. Ours stick around all winter, but of course we don't have the intense cold and lasting snow cover that you do.
