Return of the icicles

The great thing about cold weather and sun is that icicles grow back!  I thought all the snow had slid off the roof, but apparently there was some left and so we are growing a new batch.  I took this shot in the early morning before the sun was all the way up.

When the sun was up the icicles were all gleaming through my dirty window!

Icicles from a different window.  Anyone bored yet?

These icicles just keep getting better and better. It's really cool how the sunlight turns simple ice into something so magical. I especially like the dramatically artistic lighting and composition in the last two photos.

As I was waiting for my snow delayed train this morning, I saw some little icicles clinging to the undercarriage of a train. I'm now slightly paranoid that this cold snap might be an unintentional byproduct of me rabbiting about how much I like your icicle photos and my general lack of icicle.

Beautiful shots of your icicles. Strangely enough, I looked around and can't find a single icicle hanging from our house. I wonder why... and I must say, I feel deprived!

I like the way icicles freeze the motion of wind and gravity.
