Then the sun came out, at last

 The snow crystals are glittering.

I had the pleasure of digging the wood out of the pile to haul in for heat.  It's COLD out there!

Snow piles have very interesting shapes and shadows when the SUN comes OUT!

I didn't see the jack rabbits, just their tracks.

Oh wait, here's one!  Nope, it's Brogan enjoying the snow.

That was part of my New Year's Eve walk.  Wishing everyone the best for 2011.

Ah, it can be beautiful and it can be fun just as it can be a pain in the whatever! Guess we should all be more like Brogan who seems to know how to make the most of it! So cute! Wishing you a wonderful, fulfilling and Happy New Year, Loran, for you and your family! Live, Love and Laugh!

Brogan leaping through the snow makes me smile. I'm in Denver, and we've finally gotten snow - the first accumulation of the season + frigid temps. We're staying inside tonight! I like seeing those snowshoe hare tracks! Happy New Year to you and Family, Loren!

Oh how neat to have sunshine on New Year's Eve..... I know you didn't recognize what that sun looked like at first, did you??? Brogan loves the snow, doesn't he?

HAPPY NEW YEAR.
Hugs,
Betsy

These are wonderful pictures. The sun brings out the beauty of the snowfall, even if it doesn't always warm things up.

Oh how I love watching dogs romp in the snow, they seem to enjoy it so much more than their human companions.
Now hauling the wood, that is a different matter. It doesn't look like it has frozen together, yet.

Brogan would be a very big jackrabbit!
It's cold here, too.
Happy New Year!

Brogan seems tolike running in the snow. Here we have deep snow so I have to shovel up walkways for my Sheltie in the garden. The snow is 40 cm's deep or more.....
All the best for 2011!
