"Winter is nature's way of saying, 'Up yours.'" --Robert Byrne
OK, I could wax poetic about sub-zero temperatures and sparkling snow, but not today. It's just too cold. It's only January and we will be freezing well into April most likely. Look at my 2008 post and the winter pictures, it might explain my attitude problem. I'll work on that.....
In the meantime, in just a few hours, I'll check out pictures from southern hemisphere blogs and pretend it's summer at My World Tuesday.

Oh, Bill Watterson is the best! I was just reading some Calvin and Hobbes last night, what a coincidence. :) I can relate, I have a bit of an attitude problem about winter too.
I really like that first quote. Come to think of it, the post-ending quote is great too. Except, when my tropical blood freezes over at 20*C (about 50*F?), I dont think I'm in possession of any kind of mood at all !
Sub-zero? I dont even want to think about it!
Absolutely gorgeous photo, M.M!
You do find the best quotes!
I like looking at winter, but enduring the cold while going out to ffeed the stock isn't much fun.
Nice photo -- simple, prickly, and cold.
We have sun today so I ran out and ran some errands, nice pic today, good pop of color against the background:)
I love this shot--and the quotes helped me laugh at the grey day!
Tee hee. It's winter here too. ;-) But I hear spring is coming...eventually!
stay indoors and keep warm. happy 2009.
Up Yours, I like it along with the image. Made me smile.
MM: You have the mid Winter blues in early January. It's going to be a long long Winter.
We have finally seen some Sun and I'm feeling better.
Haha I love that first quote. And great pic, thanks for sharing.
Cheers and Happy New Year!

I love the warm tone right next to the cool tones of snow. What a lovely photo!
I'm wishing for warm and sunshine here as well. I guess I'll just have to sit in front of the fire, because it's not going to get any warmer for a looooooooong time. :)

ha ha don't you just love that robbie byrnes?? what a marvellous photo, grrrr i agree it's only january!
If we didn't have weather, I wonder what we would find to complain about? Now it the weather stopped, then we truly would have cause for complaint.
I like your quotes too.
Flowers AND winter landscape? I'm jealous! :-)
Warm greetings from West Africa, where it occasionally hails but never snows...
