Autumn afternoon light

The sun sets early here in autumn and winter.  It's a beautiful fall day today but the forecast is calling for gusty winds and dropping temperatures with the possibility of snow by Wednesday or Thursday!

I'm off to book club tonight.  We're discussing Explorers of the Infinite.   Have you read it?  If you have or not, come join us for dessert and a pleasant chat about all kinds of interesting subjects.

That's my world today.  If you want to see what's happening around the rest of the world, check out My World Tuesday.

Snow???? My My!!! Is that typical??? We haven't had much Fall yet... SO--I hope we at least have some Fall before Winter gets here. However, we do need some cooler weather here --so that our trees will turn.

Hope you have fun at the book club. I haven't heard of that book. Sounds interesting.
Hugs,
Betsy

the lazy color of the grass amidst the colorful sky and the mountainscape is so contrasting yet you did a great job capturing it. thanks for sharing.

It all looks very dry and clear; almost Australian. And, yes, we have book clubs here too.

Snow! Already...and I'm thinking it's nippy as I'm going to have to start wearing a cardigan on the way to work in the morning.

Everything is on the change this week. Tipping over into autumn.

Haven't heard of the book, but it sounds interesting. Not being an extreme sports person I'm unlikely to experience these things first hand!

That's a beautiful scene in your photo. It's turned cooler here in Tennessee, but I must admit that I'm not ready for snow!
