This week's ever changing skies

A soft and gentle sunset

with sweetly changing pastel colors

calms my spirit.

We had a huge thunderstorm Monday night with blinding lightening bolts and ear shattering thunder.  The next morning we had thick fog just like in the northwest.

After the storm we got our prize.

Sunshine lighting up the hills with rainbow kisses.

Another storm last night was less dramatic but left everything fresh and clean this morning.

"The sky is that beautiful old parchment in which the sun and moon keep their diary."
--Alfred Kreymborg

I like to think that I'm helping the sun and moon keep their diary too.  I'm not alone.  To view other sky diaries check out Sky Watch Friday.

Great series of how the sky can entertain us with it's ever changing appearance. After rain quelches the earth and fog blankets the land the reward is a rainbow. I love how the air smells after a good rain, so sweet and clear of polution. Excellent post and captures.

Happy SWF!

Man, you've gotten some great shots recently! The sunset pics are so gorgeous. And I love the mist pictures too, mist is so rare around here that I always love to see it.

I love it when the skies are constantly changing. That's one thing I like about Ontario (where I live). We rarely have the same skies two days in a row. You've taken an impressive series of photos.

What a contrast from the blue and the peaches through the rainstorm and on to a rainbow.

It would be lovely just to take photos of the sky every day and have a sky diary. Like chrome3d at 'Cloudbusting' http://chrome3d.blogspot.com/

Your prize at the end of the storm is stunning. What a variety of weather - you must be wondering what on earth next. Snow I suppose ;-)
