4 a.m.

Our new friend and guide, Bud, said that the best time to see animals was in the early morning.  Now I am NOT a morning person but when I woke up at 4 a.m. I decided to try my luck.

Although I was not lucky finding any animals, I did get some great shots.  I don't know if it was night or day, though, it never got any darker than this.

Now where are those bears???  They're missing the sunrise.

Visit Scenic Sunday to view scenery from all over the world.

Great moon shots but 4 am? Not sure I can get up that early and I checked, the moon is up for less than 5 hours.

Gorgeous pictures --even if it was THAT early.... A sunrise (and a chance to see some wildlife) would be the ONLY thing to get me up that early also.

Love that first picture... And --the last one.... GREAT!!!

Betsy

Fabulous and well worth (your) early rising! Love that last shot of the sun coming up - the light is perfect.

Wow, WOW!
I don't think I could get up at 4am... but for such a pretty light, and beautiful scenery, maybe I could *stay* up until then LOL.

Gorgeous shots!

Great shots, even without bears. I especially like the last one, with the moon still visible by the mountain peak.

Beautiful pictures and post. We are seeing a lot of bears in Yellowstone this year. Very exciting.
