Our noble beast, Brogan, is an Irish Wolfhound, and no, we don't put a saddle on him even though he's almost as big as a horse.
Cat Ballou, better known as Lulu, loves Brogan.
Sometimes I'm not sure the feelings are reciprocated, but he tolerates her. After all, she is a cat.
There are more animal friends to be found at Camera Critters.

Brogan's body language says it all! We have a family here in Breck that has several Irish Wolfhounds (they own a kennel).
PS I'm not sure but I must have hit the wrong button - your comment "evaporated!" But, yes, we stayed at Boulder Mt Lodge and ate dinner at Hell's Backbone Grill. Yummy!
I think this is a beautiful dog. I would take him in a minute and love him like he was a tiny fox terrier. I like dogs and never liked cats until our daughter moved back home and came with her cat, Baby Kitty. Now I like him too.
Brogan appears to be a very gentle dog. Your cat's markings are beautiful.
PS I found your comment, Loran! What is happening to my brain?
Great pics of Brogan and Lulu. It's nice when all the animals get along.
What a pair. Does look like Brogan only tolerates the cat. Smart dog.
Awwwwww, what a couple of cuties.
I feel he's thinking 'doesn't that cat know it's meant to be spitting at me and then I chase it. Silly creature.'
Lovely to see how the cat hangs around this huge dog. Thanks for sharing this.
How cute they are BFF. Great photos and I love that Irish Wolfhound Brogan.
What a great pair - it looks like Lulu would do the riding if she had a chance.
You've also caused me to realize how deficient my dog knowledge is. I've heard of Irish Wolfhounds, but had no idea what they looked like.
Oh what a great dog! When I was a teenager I babysat for some people that had an Irish Wolfhound. He was a big love!
I love your third picture!!
Love your Irish Wolfhound...he is a beauty. We took care of one for a short time...his name was Winston.
Got here from the Coyote's blog.
