What was I thinking?

OK, I admit it.  I wanted to be a cool mom.  I have always been willing to try something at least once.  Well, I tried it.

This was two years ago in Florida with my daughter, Amber, and her friend, Kassidi.  We are getting instructions on how to fly through the air with the greatest of ease on a flying trapeze.

Right.

As we get tied into this contraption I am starting to wonder what I've gotten myself into....

Uh oh.  I don't want to let go of the bar.

They took us way up high.  At this point I have a death grip on Amber and Kassidi.

Can you hear the screaming and hysterical laughter?

Once again I really don't want to let go of the bar.  I'm afraid I might fall down now.

This very attractive picture of me was taken shortly before I threw up.  I won't be doing that ride again.

If you would like to experience other slices of life, check out My World Tuesday.

I think my favorite picture is the one where you won't let go of the bar after the ride, funny. At least it looked like you were having fun during the ride. I'm not sure I would've done it.. heights aren't my thing, I wouldn't have wanted to let go of the bar at either.

Oh Loran:) I also laughed at you clutching the bar after the ride. Well done on that ride! You are a cool mama.

At least your daughter know Mom's a good sport. You look a bit green in that last shot, though.
I remember I talked my dad into a wild ride one year at the fair, I think he lost his dinner, too.

OMG! You couldn't pay me a million dollars to do that! You certainly have earned the Cool Mama award!

Some of those photos made me feel sick just looking at them. Please tell me you didn't pay good money for that?!!

I definitely think you should get coolness points for that!
I wouldn't have let go of the bar, for sure.
That last picture says it all...

Enjoy your week -- with both feet on the ground!!

There is no way I would ride something like that! Not even if it was free! I may have enjoyed something like that when I was a teenager, though.

Loran I like your style. How brave of you to join the girls, even if you didn't want to let go of the bar. It had to be a little bit fun. You certainly are a cool Mom.

I like your "microfiction" story. Sigh.

Well I'm proud of you and in that last photo you have a scraped knee? Ouch! If rewards were given out for cool mama's, you'd get my vote. That's an experience you've all going to be having a good laugh at in the years ahead.
