The downside of gossip

"Oh my goodness gracious!"

She was breathlessly confounded.

"I just saw Rose's husband kissing Sam's wife. Who should I call first?"

It's another Microfiction Monday at Stony River.  Enjoy.

Back in the days of that phone set-up, she could have just told the operator and SHE would have spread the word! Very funny!

Great imaginative dialogue, and it fits the pic so well!

With that kind of phone and a party line, only one call would do the trick!

Yikes!! Frozen by opportunity ROFL.

Now you've got me thinking -- who *would* a gossip call first? there must be some kind of heirarchy to the thing so no hurt feelings I guess -- good grief, it might be almost as complicated as when to send the Christmas cards and to whom.

I love it!

Cute Loran.... Unfortunately, that is how gossip gets going ---and it's as 'popular' today as it was years ago.

When I hear something or read something, I immediately want to run and tell someone else... I guess that's just human nature!!!!

Hugs,
Betsy

I swear those old phones brought out that kind of behavior in the nosy neighbor gossip. Well done!
