Wild Geraniums

Setting sun at Rapid Creek

The fields of wild geraniums were just stunning!

One evening I drove my four wheeler down the road to Rapid Creek to take some pictures of the geraniums. I thought it was going to be a good time of day but it turned out to be a little late. I enjoyed laying in the flowers and taking pictures anyway.

So is this Scenic Sunday or Today's Flowers? Check them out and decide for yourself. So many meme's, so little time!

Lovely flowers, and great shots! I remember from childhood, I put the petals from those flowers on my fingernails, pretending to have long painted nails! :)

I think your timing was just perfect. I like the way the sun and shadows look on the beautiful wild geraniums. It must have been relaxing to lay in the field and enjoy the lovely colors at the ending of your day...

How I would love to jump in that jeep with you and go down to the creek as you did. It looks like a wonderful place to sit for a spell. The flowers were beautiful. Thank you for sharing them and have a great week.

Hi Loran, That creek has a perfect name, doesn't it????? Looks pretty 'Rapid' to me...

Loved seeing the wild Geraniums.. The flowers look a little like our Clematis.

Hope you have had a great weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

I'm always so touched when I run into true geraniums. . .they're so delicate and strong. Here in MN I find them in the shady forest.
Nicely done!
Happy Monday!

Not until I began participating in this meme did I realize how many geranium types there are.

Wonderful place and scenery. It is fun having to cross a creek barefooted, feeling the corl takes you closer to the whole experience of nature.
